History of G Lighting

A fourth generation business founded by Edward Linton Gross in 1908, we were originally named The Gross Gas and Electric Fixture Company.  In 1914 we became Gross Chandelier Company and under that name, we continued to produce solutions to lighting professionals special needs.  Feeling that our name did not adequately describe the depth of our products and services, we began doing business as G Lighting in 1999.

Today, our lighting fixtures are installed around the world. Our skilled craftsmen use state of the art manufacturing processes, as well as time honored skills, such as making our own solid brass spinnings. For the past 100 years, the Gross Family has applied the same careful attention to detail and customer service initiated by our Founder. We are prepared to work closely with you to design and manufacture just the right decorative fixtures that will make your project a design success.

As we approach our one hundredth anniversary, we at G Lighting continue to be committed to bringing the finest in commercial decorative lighting to our customers.  We are more than just a company selling products.  We are a family owned business of four generations with a tradition of providing service and solutions for the design professionals we work with.  To those professionals, as well as our excellent team of representatives, we dedicate this next hundred years as we continue this tradition.
